A major automotive group in Vancouver is seeking an HR professional to support full cycle recruitment and assist in various HR projects. This role will report to the Director of HR for Western Canada. The HR team is based in BC and assists all BC dealerships with everything HR. We have over 1200 employees in BC alone. This is in both union and non-unionized environments, so an excellent opportunity to build your HR career!

The selected candidate will also have the opportunity to support our Alberta and Saskatchewan dealerships as well.

Essential duties
  • Support all locations with full cycle recruitment, including but not limited to: Posting and managing jobs on all platforms, creating offer letters, and onboarding.
  • Assist with reference checks when required.
  • Ensure employee changes, transfers, and dismissal paperwork are accurate and processed.
  • Provide letters of employment when requested.
  • Communicate employee movement notifications to required departments.
  • Assist in creating HR policies and procedures within scope of responsibilities as needed.
  • Assist in various HR projects as needed.
  • Create and complete recruitment and employee movement reports.
  • Manage Headcount reports and trackers
  • Main point of contact for Payroll Team.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills - must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be a “People-Person” with the ability to build rapport.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks for self and others and follow through to completion.
  • Excellent follow up, internal customer service and administrative skills.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS systems.
