Job summary

A leading hotel chain is seeking a full-time housekeeping supervisor in Valemount, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for hiring and training cleaning staff, supervising and coordinating activities, and ensuring safety and cleanliness standards. Candidates must have a secondary school graduation certificate and WHMIS certification, along with at least one year of related experience. Work does not allow for remote options and will involve physically demanding tasks.

• Salary: $25.70 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week
• Terms of employment: Permanent employment Full time

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff
• Supervise and coordinate activities of workers
• Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
• Recommend or arrange for additional services required such as painting, repair work, renovations or replacement of furnishings and equipment
• Co-ordinate work activities with other departments
• Establish work schedules
• Schedule and assign duties of housekeeping staff
• Plan and prepare work schedules
• Report required repairs to ground maintenance personnel
• Assist manager in the implementation of safety programs
