  • Salary: $24.00–$24.19 per hour

Position Overview: Painter's Lodge is an iconic oceanfront resort located in the heart of beautiful Campbell River, known for its rich history, stunning natural surroundings, and unforgettable guest experiences. We’re part of the Evergreen Hospitality Group, committed to delivering excellence in service while fostering a positive and growth‑oriented workplace. We are currently seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join our dedicated team. This hands‑on leadership role is vital to maintaining our high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency across the property. The Housekeeping Supervisor will lead daily housekeeping and laundry operations, manage inventory, train staff, and work closely with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resort‑Wide Housekeeping Oversight:
    • Supervise daily housekeeping and laundry operations across all guest accommodations and public areas, including Lodge Rooms and Suites, Cabins, and Public areas (lobby, spa, meeting rooms, washrooms).
    • Organize cleaning schedules based on occupancy, check‑ins/outs, events, and guest needs.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure all areas meet lodge standards for cleanliness and presentation.
  • Team Leadership & Support:
    • Provide hands‑on support during high‑volume periods.
    • Train, mentor, and support housekeeping team members to maintain consistency and attention to detail.
    • Monitor staff performance and attendance; address and report concerns to the Operations Manager.
  • Guest Experience:
    • Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests and service concerns.
    • Ensure accommodations are prepared to meet guest expectations, including special requests.
    • Collaborate with the Front Desk on early arrivals, late check‑outs, and room changes.
  • Inventory & Supply Management:
    • Maintain stock of linens, amenities, and cleaning products across various supply areas.
    • Track and rotate supplies to reduce waste and ensure availability.
    • Conduct inventory counts and report supply needs to the Operations Manager.
  • Health & Safety:
    • Ensure team members follow WorkSafeBC and resort safety procedures.
    • Oversee safe handling of chemicals and equipment.
    • Support eco‑friendly and sustainable cleaning practices.
  • Communication & Coordination:
    • Coordinate with Front Desk, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure efficient room turnover and issue resolution.
    • Stay informed of occupancy changes, events, and group bookings.
    • Attend daily team briefings and operational meetings.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience in a hotel or resort setting; supervisory experience preferred.
  • Physically capable of managing tasks including stairs, lifting (up to 40 lbs), and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Guest‑service focused with a positive, solution‑oriented mindset.
  • Experience with digital tools or inventory systems is an asset.
  • Availability for weekends, holidays, and during peak travel seasons is essential.
