Job summary

A not-for-profit organization in Canmore seeks a Hostel and Reservations Manager for maternity leave coverage. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, managing staff, ensuring guest satisfaction and safety, and maintaining the hostel website. Qualifications

  • Must have previous hotel or guest service experience, including phone and cash handling.
  • Detail oriented and capable of keeping track of many tasks with competing priorities.
  • Must provide a great guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Hostel and Reservations teams, including recruitment and training.
  • Oversee the guest experience at the Hostel.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards at a professional level.
  • Manage Property Management System and ensure accurate availability and rates.
  • Support and enforce ACC policies, standards, and procedures.

Skills

Positive and engaging personality
Previous hotel or guest service experience
Strong computer knowledge (MS Office, Property Management Systems)
Detail-oriented with multitasking ability
Proven record of providing great guest experience
French language skills
Post-Secondary diploma or degree in hospitality or related experience
Experience in a leadership role
