Job description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Support Worker to provide personal care and companionship to an elderly senior person. The ideal candidate should be able to live-in and will assist with daily living activities, mobility support, and light household tasks to ensure the well-being and comfort of client in their home.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide bedside and personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist with mobility, transfers, and exercises
• Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals based on dietary needs and cultural preference
• Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing
• Assist with medication reminders as directed by healthcare professionals
• Provide companionship, emotional support, and engage client in activities
• Accompany to doctor’s appointments as needed
• Monitor and report changes in client’s condition to family members
• Ensure a safe comfortable and hygienic environment for clients
• Must comply with family religion and engage client in worship activities and accompany client to church

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
• Certification in Personal Support Work (PSW) (required)
• Experience in caregiving, home support, or a related field (required)
• First Aid and CPR certification (required)
• Ability to lift weights, transfer, and assist client safely
• Strong communication and being able to speak client native language(patios) and great interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings if needed
