Talon Recruiting has partnered with a leading tractor dealership seeking a Heavy Equipment Road Mechanic for their Sutton, QC location.

We are looking for a Heavy Vehicle Magician to join our dynamic and energetic team. Within our mechanics department, every day offers an opportunity for learning, growth and fulfillment. Your mission, if you choose to accept it :
  • Perform on-the-road repairs and maintenance on all products sold by the company
  • Diagnosing Mechanical Mysteries: Determining the Nature of Repairs and the Time Required to Fix Failures
  • Adjust, repair and/or replace defective parts using hand or power tools
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Ensure equipment compliance with customer and manufacturer requirements
  • Carry out routine maintenance work, remembering to clean and lubricate equipment
  • Respect the established times for carrying out repairs
  • Working safely
  • Clean the work area and keep workshop equipment in good condition
  • Complete the requested documents on a daily basis: timesheet, warranty report, etc.
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor.
Skills sought:
  • Have a DEP in diesel, agricultural or construction machinery mechanics
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience
  • Diagnostic experience
  • Knowledge of agricultural products or construction machinery
  • Demonstrate autonomy, have good team spirit and the ability to detect defects
