Qualifications

• Cinq (5) années d'expérience en milieu industriel.
• Expérience en environnement minier est un atout.
• Certification en soudage considérée comme un atout.

Responsibilities

• Effectuer un entretien sûr et efficace de la flotte d'équipement lourd.
• Effectuer des réparations, le nettoyage, et la lubrification d'équipement lourd.
• Remplacement et reconstruction de composants, travaux de soudage et électricité basse tension.

About the Organization

Lake Shore Gold, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver, is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Timmins West mine is located approximately 18 kilometers west of Timmins, Ontario, one of the world’s most prolific gold camps. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt. The Timmins West mine is comprised of the Timmins deposit, the Thunder Creek deposit, and the 144 Gap deposit. All three deposits are interconnected by underground drifts.

The Bell Creek Complex, located approximately 20 kilometers northeast of Timmins, Ontario, consists of an underground mine and processing facility. Mineralization is associated with the Porcupine-Destor fault system within the Abitibi greenstone belt, with ore mined by narrow vein longhole stoping methods. Ore is then transported to surface via a modern one thousand eighty metre deep shaft capable of forty-eight hundred tonnes per day.

About the Opportunity

We are looking to hireHeavy Equipment Mechanicsto join our team at the Timmins West Mine in Timmins, ON., and the Bell Creek Mine inPorcupine, ON., on a full-time basis.

The schedule is 5-5-4, 10 hr shifts rotating days and nights each week.

In this position, you will safely and efficiently perform maintenance activities to preserve the condition of the mobile heavy equipment fleet in all areas of the mine: troubleshooting, cleaning, lubricating, adjusting, inspecting, repairing, component replacement & rebuild, welding, fabrication and low voltage electrical repairs of heavy equipment.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.

More About You

While our ideal candidate has the following qualifications, we welcome applicants who may not meet every criterion to apply.

• Red Seal Mechanical Certification or Registered Apprentice
• Five (5) years of experience in an industrial setting
• Experience in a mining environment and welding certification are considered assets
• Basic UG Hard Rock Common Core is considered an asset
