Qualifications

  • Proficiency in computer applications.

Job Summary

Heavy Duty Equipment Technician – 14441 – located at Cote Gold Mine Site, Gogama, Ontario. Responsible for safely repairing, troubleshooting, adjusting, overhauling, and maintaining mobile heavy‑duty equipment throughout the mine and milling operation. Works collaboratively with planning and team to deliver execution of the integrated plan and schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Service attachments and working tools.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained and used in accordance with company health and safety standards.
  • Commit to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Seek to improve skills and watch for inefficiencies or problems.
  • Collaborate to troubleshoot and resolve problems, considering risk across throughput, time, quality, sustainability and cost dimensions.
  • Provide accurate and consistent technical reporting.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively using provided tools.
  • Coordinate with team members to meet shift deliverables.
  • Mentor and train new team members and participate in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Maintain accurate equipment and shift logs and communicate deficiencies.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • College diploma in heavy equipment technician or related field.
  • Certificate of Qualification in Ontario preferred.
  • Completed apprenticeship required.
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in open‑pit mining an asset.
  • Proficiency in computer applications and maintenance software.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or in teams.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of SIS, ET, HIS for CAT equipment an asset.
  • Experience with MineStar an asset.
