Overview

Health Care Aide

Lethbridge Family Services (LFS) is seeking health care aides to join our Home Services department. Health care aides provide in-home support to seniors and individuals who need assistance completing activities of daily living.

Responsibilities

• provide personal care and support to clients in client homes according to the service plan
• monitor and accurately record and report on the status of clients
• complete appropriate charting in the Alayacare mobile app
• participate in quality improvement activities
• recommend changes to service plans as client needs change
• attend in-services, workshops, and training sessions as required
• use appropriate safety measures including universal precautions and infection control procedures

Qualifications

• must be at least 18 years old
• must have completed a health care aide certificate program that meets the provincial standard
• must be currently registered with the Alberta Health Care Aide Directory
• must be able to provide care in accordance with legislation, care plans, and training
• must have a valid driver\'s license, with current registration and insurance, and a reliable vehicle
• All new health care aides must provide a police information check and vulnerable sector check prior to providing client care

• Hours: regular hourly and casual work available; must be able to work days, evenings, and weekends
