A regional school board in Kitchener is seeking a Head Secretary to support day-to-day operations of a school. Responsibilities include managing office procedures, liaising with staff, and maintaining school records. The ideal candidate should possess a Secondary School Graduation Diploma and have strong organizational, computer, and communication skills. This role demands a collaborative spirit and the ability to engage positively with the school community, offering 35 hours of work per week for 10 months a year.
Applicants will be considered in the following order: 1) Qualified permanent ESS/OSSTF Bargaining Unit employees. 2) Qualified probationary, temporary and Temporary Hourly Rated (THR) ESS/OSSTF employees. 3) Qualified external applicants (includes employees from other Bargaining Units).
Reporting to the Principal, this position is responsible for supporting the activities of the administrative staff in duties related to the day‑to‑day operation of the school. The successful applicant for this Educational Support Staff position Level E, will work 35 hours per week, 10 months per year, effective immediately.
