Job summary

A real estate investment group is seeking a Director of Real Estate Finance to establish and scale their finance and accounting function. This leadership role involves preparing financial statements, managing budgets, and building financial models for acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in real estate finance, excellent leadership skills, and familiarity with CAM/TMI budgeting. A competitive annual salary between CAD $80,000–$120,000 is offered, along with health insurance eligibility after 6 months.

Qualifications

• 7–12 years of experience in real estate finance or property accounting.
• Strong understanding of industrial, retail, and/or office real estate operations.
• Proven experience with CAM/TMI budgeting and reconciliations.
• Advanced financial modeling skills (NOI, DSCR, IRR).
• Experience working with lenders, auditors, and ownership groups.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial statements and maintain GL accuracy.
• Produce monthly reporting packages and maintain audit-ready financial records.
• Lead annual operating budgets and support CAPEX planning.
• Manage CAM/TMI budgeting and ensure accurate tenant recoveries.
• Build financial models for acquisitions/refinancing.
