A Canadian facility management company is seeking a skilled Handyperson in Vancouver. This role involves maintenance, repairs, and the installation of equipment for commercial clients. The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift significant weight. We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Handyperson to join our growing team in Vancouver, supporting commercial clients with maintenance, repairs, and equipment installations.
Minimum 3 years of proven experience as a handyman or maintenance technician
Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and meet the physical demands of the role
Criminal record check required upon hiring
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed
Perform a wide range of general maintenance and handyman repairs, including painting, carpentry, drywall, and caulking
Complete minor plumbing, electrical, and filtration work, including grease interceptor repairs
Install, repair, and maintain commercial equipment (training provided for specific equipment)
Ensure clean, safe, and food-safe work sites at all times
Travel between client locations across Vancouver and surrounding areas using a company vehicle
Maintain accurate digital service records and communicate effectively with internal teams
Respond to after-hours, weekend, and night-time service calls as required
Schedules may vary and include nights, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Advance notice will be provided whenever possible
IGC handles all customer billing and scheduling, allowing you to focus on delivering quality maintenance services with a steady flow of work
This position is subject to a six (6) month probationary period
Strong troubleshooting skills with mechanical and basic electrical aptitude
Working knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems
Experience with quoting and estimating is an asset
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy
Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, and report progress effectively
Professional, reliable, and customer-focused
Flexible and comfortable with non-fixed schedules, including night work
