Newprint, a leading printing company located at 25-2450 Lancaster Road, Ottawa ON K1B 5N3, is seeking a talented and experienced Prepress Technician to join our team.

This job will be on site with possible hybrid work setup, ONLY applicants living in the Ottawa area and preferably close to the office will be considered.

Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong visual sense, excellent design skills, and the ability to translate ideas into engaging visual content across digital and print media.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and design visual content for marketing campaigns, websites, social media, advertisements, packaging, and branding materials.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and creative teams to conceptualize and execute design strategies that align with brand guidelines.
  • Create layouts, graphics, and illustrations for brochures, presentations, and other promotional materials.
  • Ensure consistency in visual identity across all projects and platforms.
  • Prepare and deliver final design files in required formats for print or digital use.
  • Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and best practices.
  • Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is an asset (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a graphic designer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects) or Figma/Canva.
  • Strong understanding of typography, color theory, and layout design.
  • Excellent attention to detail and creativity.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to take constructive feedback and revise designs accordingly.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing, or UI/UX design.
  • Knowledge of branding and marketing principles.
