Role Overview

d.talks/Design Week Calgary is seeking a volunteer with strong experience in digital advertising to manage and optimize our Google Ads and YouTube Ads campaigns. This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who is confident working across the full ad stack and wants to contribute their expertise to a nonprofit focused on design, art, and culture.

What Will You Be Doing?
  • Plan, launch, and optimize Google Ads and YouTube Ads campaigns
  • Manage keyword research, targeting, ad copy, and creative development
  • Track campaign performance, analyze results, and refine strategies
  • Ensure campaigns follow current best practices and platform guidelines
  • Collaborate with the d.talks marketing team to align with overall outreach goals
  • Share brief updates and performance insights every two weeks
What Skills Do We Need?
  • Demonstrated experience running Google Ads and YouTube Ads campaigns
  • Understanding of audience segmentation, A/B testing, and performance metrics
  • Ability to work independently and deliver consistent results
  • Strong communication and organization skills
Nice to Have
  • Google Ads certification
  • Experience with nonprofit or cultural organizations
  • Familiarity with SEO or landing page optimization
