Global Export Operations Manager (Manufacturing) – WET (Design), Sun Valley, California. Reports to: COO (Legacy).

Key Outcomes (first 90–120 days)
  • Quote internal cycle time: ≤2 business days standard, ≤5 days for technical alternates
  • 100% export documentation compliance (CI/PL, HS codes, CoO, licenses)
  • OTIF (On Time In Full) ≥ 95%; zero preventable customs holds
  • Pricing hygiene: validate/seed QuickBooks pricing for top 200 SKUs
  • Clerk cross-trained for seamless PTO/coverage
Core Responsibilities
  • Triage RFQs, interpret BOMs, and coordinate alternates with Engineering; margin-aware quoting via QuickBooks
  • Convert quotes to sales orders in QuickBooks and Smartsheet; trigger actions with Procurement and Manufacturing
  • Build/ship readiness and kit list alignment; resolve long lead or part discrepancies
  • Own export logistics: book carriers, prepare documentation, apply Incoterms, resolve customs issues for global destinations
  • Generate invoices, pro formas, and collaborate with Finance to ensure tax/VAT accuracy and prompt collections
  • Lead RMA intake/testing; manage vendor claims and credits; document root causes
  • Maintain SKU master, dashboards, and support platform migrations
  • Standardize templates, mini SOPs, and coach cross-trained staff for process excellence
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years in manufacturing parts/logistics/export ops or similar
  • Hands-on export expertise: docs, HS codes, Incoterms, global freight
  • Proficient in QuickBooks, Smartsheet, and Excel (lookups, pivots)
  • Skilled at reading BOMs, drawings, and datasheets; comfortable with engineers
  • Clear written client communication, strong follow-through across time zones
Preferred
  • Shipping experience to GCC/India/SEA; VAT/withholding awareness
  • Experience with OEM/integrator work; catalog, RMA/warranty flow ownership
  • Exposure to ERP/CMMS and software migration/UAT
