We are looking for a General Manager for our site
Role Overview:
The General Manager will oversee overall site activities under the responsibility of Urban O&M North America, aiming to deliver safety, operational performance, financial, supply chain, and overall project performance. This role requires a strategist and leader who can guide the team towards the most safely, reliable and profitable direction while demonstrating accountability, ownership, and implementing the global vision, mission, and long-term goals. Strong leadership, strategic thinking, collaboration with various stakeholders, and excellent communication skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plans, lead and implement organizational policies and goals. Coordinate activities of divisions or departments to ensure compliance with all applicable rules including Transport canada regulations, Collective Bargaining agreements, Quality Responsibility to ensure site meets and exceeds contractual and internal Alstom KPIs.
2. Acts as a liaison with customers, operating departments, and outside agencies regarding operations, maintenance of way, facilities, and maintenance of equipment and all issues arising from the Service Property and/or Service Operation. Provides leadership and mentoring for problem resolution to facilitate improvements and enhance working relationships both internally and externally. Ensure costumer needs and expectations are addressed in a timely and efficient manner through a documented process.
3. Identify maintenance, and operations trends/issues and develop programs and procedures to ensure improved site safety, operations, fleet reliability and availability. Discuss inspections and repair defects or violations with federal and public representatives to resolve concerns, such as time and cost repair, and methods of preventing future defects or violations. Undertake projects, reports and other duties as directed by Senior Management or the client.
4. Lead, mentor, and develop teams, fostering a collaborative environment that supports professional growth and compliance with all relevant procedures.
