Position

General Manager/Paramedic Chief – Reporting to the Lead, Ontario Operations. The role provides leadership for the overall operational effectiveness through established best practices and standardized operating policies and task responsibilities. It involves directing and guiding operational teams, supporting implementation of best practices, and proactive collaboration with management, employees and stakeholders to continually improve collaboration and project development for the delivery of healthcare in the municipality of Chatham-Kent.

Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership for overall operational effectiveness through established best practices and standardized operating policies and tasks.
  • Direct and guide operational teams, assisting with the implementation of best practices.
  • Consult proactively with management, employees and stakeholders to improve collaboration and project development for healthcare delivery in Chatham-Kent.
  • Foster positive relationships with employees and stakeholders as an effective communicator.
  • Lead the organization’s safety and patient-centered culture in alignment with company values.
Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education preferably in Health Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience; postgraduate studies or related Master’s degree preferred.
  • Visible leader with a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience, preferably in EMS or Health Care Management within a high-performance accredited system.
  • Proven track record of empowering and leading employees successfully.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; decisive with a creative approach to complex situations; able to work independently with accountability and as a collaborative team player.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and maintain outstanding customer service while upholding respectful relationships.
