The company has completedits 3rd major expansion since its inception over 302 years ago,serves industries domestically, nationally and internationally and is CWBcertified as well as ISO registered. Weare currently seeking resumes for the following full-time position:

GENERALMACHINIST

The General Machinist is responsible for creatingquality parts produced on various machines such as but not limited toconventional engine lathes and milling machines and general shop equipmentaccording to company plans, blueprints, and other diagrams. Responsibilitieswill include reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals to determineproduction processes and requirements and inspection of quality parts forconformance to requirements. The General Machinist will detect equipmentmalfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjust machines, withincapabilities, controls or control media as required to ensure quality ofproduction, and report all machine malfunctions to their immediate supervisor.

Job Duties
  • Study and interpretdrawings, blueprints, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determinedimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations,tools to be used, materials for the job and setup requirements.
  • Set up machiningequipment utilized by the organization in order to ensure equipmentoperations at accepted standards for the type of tooling being used.
  • Provide verificationof dimensions of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.
  • Communicate withsupervisor, production control, quality and other shop personnel forassignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
  • Set up, operate andmaintain a variety of machine tools to perform precision, non-repetitivemachining operations such as sawing, turning, milling, boring, planning,drilling, precision grinding and other operations.
  • May perform otherduties as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma,GED or equivalent or Post-secondary diploma or certification in a relatedfield preferred or completion of a four-year apprenticeship program or acombination of over four years of work experience in the trade and somecollege or industry courses in machining.
  • Intermediateknowledge and application of precision measuring instruments and theapplication of such instruments. Instruments should include but notlimited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators andscales.
  • Intermediateknowledge of reading drawings and specifications with an intermediateunderstanding of geometric tolerance and dimensions.
  • Intermediateknowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, insertsand other accessories used on various machines.
  • Must be able tofollow written and oral instructions and be able to communicate in English(both written/oral) as it relates to job.
  • Must be adaptable toa changing work environment.
  • Must possess basicmath skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting,multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose calculatingmaterial fabrication.
  • Ability to detect,isolate, and identify irregularities and malfunctions in machinery andequipment.
  • Able to fabricate newparts to replace defective parts during machine setup, maintenance, oroverhaul.
  • Demonstrated aptitudein reading and interpreting blueprints, diagrams, schematics, drawings,manuals, and specifications.
  • Strong work ethic andpositive team attitude with the ability to work independently with littlesupervision.
Work Conditions
  • Ability to lift andcarry objects up to 50 lbs., manual dexterity required, ble to remainstanding for long periods of time.
  • Overtime as required,use of PPE, including safety glasses and steel toe boots required.
  • Able to remainstanding for long periods of time.
