Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Functional plus Automation Lead with a strong background in Capital Markets to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent functional knowledge of Capital Market-Trading applications, hands on experience with JIRA, POSTMAN, Confluence, Selenium, SQL, and proven capabilities in stakeholder engagement, conflict resolution, and delivering under pressure in Agile environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the functional and automation liaison between business stakeholders and offshore team for Capital Markets projects with a focus on the Middle office Trading application.
- Analyse and translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, and workflows using JIRA and Confluence.
- Perform data validation using SQL to support requirement validation, testing, and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate closely with front office, middle office, operations, and IT teams to ensure alignment and clarity in requirements.
- Support end to end testing cycles including IST/UAT by preparing test cases, coordinating test efforts, and validating outcomes.
- Perform load testing.
- Proactively manage stakeholder expectations and ensure transparency through continuous communication and status reporting.
- Identify potential conflicts or gaps in understanding early and resolve them effectively through negotiation and facilitation.
- Work efficiently in Agile (Scrum) delivery models.
- Provide support in training and documentation for new processes and systems post implementation.
Mandatory Skills
- 10+ years of experience as a Sr Test Analyst/Automation lead in Capital Markets, preferably within trading applications.
- Strong knowledge and working experience on Selenium and Core Java.
- Expertise in JIRA for sprint planning, and story mapping.
- Good experience in POSTMAN and Broadridge.
- Proficiency in Confluence for documentation and collaboration.
- Solid command of SQL for data analysis and validation.
- Strong experience in stakeholder management, including senior business and technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to handle conflict resolution, ambiguity, and pressure situations with professionalism.
- Exposure to Agile and Waterfall methodologies; ability to switch based on project requirements.
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem solving, and effective communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualification
- Experience in Trade & Order Management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computers, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in Business Analysis is a plus.
