About the Role:

We are hiring a Senior Accountant to join our growing team. You will collaborate closely with the CEO, bookkeepers, a virtual assistant, and clients to deliver accurate and friendly accounting and tax support.

This role includes:

  • Reviewing QuickBooks Online files
  • Preparing year-end workpapers
  • Preparing and filing corporate and personal tax returns
  • Reviewing GST/HST returns
  • Supporting clients and teammates with QuickBooks Online
  • Reviewing team members work
  • Communicating directly with clients to request documents and answer questions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review QuickBooks Online files for accurate coding, GST/HST, A/R, A/P, and transaction completeness
  • Troubleshoot QuickBooks Online issues for clients and team members
  • Prepare and file T-slips
  • Complete year-end workpapers in CaseWare Cloud
  • Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns using Profile
  • Prepare year-end adjusting entries
  • Use Karbon to manage tasks and deadlines
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients

Qualifications Required:

  • Strong experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Experience preparing personal and corporate tax returns
  • Experience with Profile tax software
  • Corporate tax filing experience in Alberta and/or Ontario
  • Ability to support or guide others (formal or informal leadership)
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams)

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Karbon, Dext, or CaseWare Cloud
