Overview

Framer/Carpenter vacancy in Toronto, Canada. Location: Concord, ON. Salary: $46.23/hour. Jobs: 15 openings. Terms of employment: Permanent, Full-time, 37 hours/week. Start date: ASAP. Work conditions include early morning shifts, day, evening, and weekend work.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret plans, illustrations and sketches to determine specifications and needs.
• Prepare formats in conformance to building regulations, using gauging tools.
• Cut, shape, construct and join materials made of wood, timber alternatives, lightweight steel and other products.
• Build structures; install flooring, ground beams, subflooring; erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware.
• Maintain, repair and refurbish residences and wooden frameworks in various settings (mills, mines, hospitals, plants, and other establishments).

Qualifications

• Languages: English.
• Education: No formal level, certification or diploma required.
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
• Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed boots, hard hat, safety glasses/goggles.
• Other: Very own transportation; willing to travel; able to work at heights, in confined spaces, dusty/noisy environments; ability to meet tight deadlines; capable of heavy lifting; overtime as needed.

Work Location & Site

Work sites include commercial, industrial, residential, and institutional locations. Areas: numerous locations; may transfer as needed.
