SASKATOON PUBLIC SCHOOLS requires an Assistant Manager of Food and Nutrition Services.

Saskatoon Public Schools is seeking an organized and collaborative professional to join our division as Assistant Manager of Food and Nutrition Services. Reporting to the Manager of Food and Nutrition Services, this role will oversee food service operations across the division, ensuring programs meet nutrition, health, and safety standards while supporting student well‑being.

This is a full-time permanent position with duties to commence as soon as possible.

Responsibilities
  • Support and oversee school nutrition programs, including the Good Food for Learning Grant.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and nutrition standards.
  • Develop menus, policies, and practices that promote healthy, diverse, and appealing food choices.
  • Provide leadership and training to school food program staff.
  • Monitor budgets and food/labour costs, ensuring efficiency.
  • Build positive relationships with schools, staff, and community partners.
Qualifications
  • A degree or diploma in Food and Nutrition Management, Hospitality, Dietetics, or Culinary Arts (or equivalent).
  • Experience managing food service programs; CSNM or Dietitians of Canada membership is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety, and budget management.
  • Proven leadership and communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
