A regional construction company in Kelowna seeks a worker to install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials. Candidates should have 1-2 years of experience, be physically fit to handle demanding tasks, and possess their own tools. This is a permanent position requiring English communication skills, with a work schedule of 40 hours per week.
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
Work site environment: Noisy, dusty, outdoors.
Work setting: Construction, commercial, installation, institutional.
Tasks: Install vapour barriers and fire-retardant materials.
Area of specialization: Fire stopping and fireproofing.
Security and safety: Basic security clearance.
Transportation / travel information: Valid driver's licence.
Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, kneeling, manual dexterity.
Own tools / equipment: Tools, steel-toed safety boots.
