This is an exceptional opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in the field, as it involves regular travel to client locations throughout Alberta, conducting fire protection system audits, inspections, and maintenance activities across multiple sites. Home base can be located anywhere in Alberta.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fire Protection System Auditing & Inspection

    Conduct routine audits and inspections of fire protection systems to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and contractual requirements.

    Identify deficiencies, document findings, and support corrective actions to maintain safety and regulatory compliance.

  • Maintenance & Technical Support

    Perform scheduled maintenance and testing of fire protection systems, ensuring systems remain reliable and fully operational.

    Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address system issues and support ongoing service contracts.

  • Reporting & Coordination

    Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports, maintenance records, and compliance documentation.

    Support coordination efforts related to service scheduling, follow-ups, and communication with project partners or clients.

  • Safety & Quality Assurance

    Adhere to safety protocols, industry standards, and internal quality guidelines at all times.

    Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements or recurring system concerns.

Qualifications
  • Education & Experience
    • CFAA Registered Technician Designation strongly preferred
    • 5+ years of direct fire alarm inspection, maintenance, service, and/or auditing experience is preferred
    • All other Technical training and education related to fire protection, mechanical systems, or a similar field will be considered
  • Technical Skills
    • Familiarity with fire protection systems such as alarms, sprinklers, and related safety equipment.
    • Ability to read technical documentation, inspection reports, and compliance standards.
  • Key Competencies
    • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality.
    • Self-motivated, organized, and capable of managing responsibilities in a remote or independent work environment.
    • Willingness to travel provincially is required. Company vehicle and gas card is provided.
