Job summary

A leading Canadian health and wellness company is seeking a Specialist, Financial Reporting for a 6-month contract. This in-office role requires expertise in IFRS financial preparation and review, with responsibilities including audit support and MD&A preparation. Ideal candidates hold a CPA with relevant experience and possess strong technical accounting skills. The position is primarily on-site for four days a week, with opportunities for extension or full-time conversion.

Qualifications

• CPA qualification preferred with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements according to IFRS.
• Support the preparation of MD&A documentation.

Job description

Our client is a very well-known Canadian leader in health and wellness, and they are looking to add to their team on a 6 month contractual basis a Specialist, Financial Reporting.

***This is an in office 4 days per week role and has the potential to extend longer or convert into a full-time job.

As the Specialist, Financial Reporting you will play a key role in the preparation and review of financials [IFRS], support MD&A preparation, deep dive into various technical accounting IFRS sections [16, 3, 10/11/12, etc.], consolidation, audit support, etc.

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications:

• CPA [Big 6-8 experience preferred] with 3+ years relevant experience
• Strong technical accounting experience and knowledge
• Ability to work on site 4 days per week.
