The Role:

Reporting to and supporting the Principal Financial Advisor, the ideal incumbent will:

  • Ensure timelines are met while providing paraplanning services.
  • Coordinate, track and follow‑up on progress being made by all parties involved in the planning.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and client experience.
  • Schedule client meetings and prepare agendas.
  • Debrief with the Principal re client meetings, identify critical problems and potential strategies.
  • Research solutions, run illustrations and build a robust financial plan using software and AI.
  • Present recommendations and plan approach with clients.
  • Coordinate data collection from clients and other professionals, including their accountants and lawyers, and follow‑up on requirements to retain case momentum.
  • Participate in client meetings to present recommendations.
  • Identify opportunities, accept applications, schedule and provide client review meetings.
  • Maintain compliant meeting notes and files.
  • Take the lead on growing accounts.
  • Build out and document relevant processes, including end‑to‑end client experience and annual review processes.
  • Maintain CRM.
  • Prepare for and participate in team meetings, and contribute to engaged team culture.
  • Collaborate on other tasks, event planning and special projects as required.
  • Comply with firm’s employee handbook, Privacy and AML procedures as outlined in the manuals.
The Requirements:
  • CFP Certificate is essential.
  • Extensive experience creating robust financial plans.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems to get at the best solution possible.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to evaluate current investment portfolio.
  • Understanding insurance and tax issues without bias.
  • Real‑world client‑facing experience.
  • Completion of LLQP is a definite asset.
