Job description

Our client is a Big-5 bank and looking to hire a Financial Analyst on their Product Control team for an initial 6-month contract. If you have a solid understanding of equity derivatives [swaps, options, etc.] and are looking for a role in one of Canada's premier Banks we have the role for you!

As the Financial Analyst, Product Control you will provide daily reporting to front office traders. This is a hands on role requiring suburb attention to detail and critical thinking. You will be supporting the front office with daily PnL Reporting.

***The role is hybrid in office 2-3 days a week in Toronto

The main responsibilities include the following;

• Calculation and verification of PnL
• Reconciling daily positions
• IPV reporting and valuation adjustments

To be considered for this role, our client is looking for someone with the following skills/qualifications;

• CPA or CFA or FRM designated or in progress
• Technically savvy with MS Excel and VBA, Tableau and Alteryx
• Solid derivatives experience
• Cross functional collaboration with treasury, accounting, front office, market risk, etc.
• Solid understanding of the Greeks and effect on PnL
