Financial Analyst - 18 month contract

We are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst for an 18-month contract role. This position provides financial support within a complex, multi-stakeholder environment and serves as the primary contact for post-award financial operations. The successful candidate will work closely with internal partners to deliver accurate financial analysis, reporting, and portfolio oversight. This is a hybrid role requiring regular on-site presence.

About the Opportunity
  • Serve as the main financial contact for assigned portfolios, providing guidance on budgeting, forecasting, compliance, and financial reporting.
  • Monitor active projects and funding streams, analyzing financial performance, burn rates, and potential risks or deficiencies.
  • Prepare reconciliations, financial statements, variance analyses, and other month‑end or year‑end reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams—including Finance, Payroll, HR, and other departments—to resolve issues and improve financial processes.
  • Support internal stakeholders through education, training, and ongoing communication regarding financial policies, procedures, and account management.
About You
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
  • Professional accounting designation (or working toward one) and strong knowledge of GAAP or comparable financial standards.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, and general accounting processes.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Excel and experience working with financial systems; ability to learn new applications quickly.
  • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and relationship‑building skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
Salary

$85,000 / Year
