The Role

The Finance Business Partner will support financial planning, reporting, and analytics to help eSentire operate more effectively. This role is ideal for a rising finance professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and is eager to grow through hands‑on experience and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze financial transactions and provide variance analysis vs. forecast and budget.
  • Assist in monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and strategic planning using Adaptive Insights.
  • Develop actionable financial reports and dashboards for leadership and operational teams.
  • Support the annual budget planning process and monitor budget compliance.
  • Approve purchase requisitions and surface financial risks and opportunities.
  • Recommend improvements to financial and operational reporting.
  • Build reports from single or multiple systems and ensure data accuracy.
  • Leverage AI‑enabled reporting and analytics tools to streamline processes and improve data‑driven decision‑making.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to improve transactional processes and reporting clarity.
  • Train end users on dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Support leadership and cross‑functional teams with special projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Commerce, or a related discipline.
  • Actively pursuing CPA designation or other relevant certifications (e.g., CFA Level I candidate, MBA with finance focus).
  • 1–3 years of experience in financial planning & analysis or related finance roles, ideally within a growing or tech‑oriented environment.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present financial data clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting.
  • Solid business acumen, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
  • Familiarity with financial systems such as NetSuite, Adaptive Insights, Salesforce, and Power BI is an asset.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Adaptive Insights or budget planning software
  • Experience with SaaS and technology organizations
  • Microsoft Excel skills
