Reporting to the Finance Director, the Finance and Insights Manager will focus on several projects to help build a strong infrastructure around data and analytics for the Canadian Team by leveraging global reporting platforms with the goal to support the growing commercial business. The role will play a critical part during financial planning cycles by establishing key assumptions to support forecasting accuracy and will contribute to developing robust governance and processes around managing Gross-to-net items. This is a one-year contract and will be based in our Vaughan office, with in-office presence 1-2 times per week.

Responsibilities
  • Knowledge of the business drivers across the full commercial P&L (Volume / Sales, Gross-to-net, OPEX, Gross and Net Margins).
  • Develop a strong framework and infrastructure around various data sets (financial and non-financial data such as Patient program data, Reimbursement, CRM, etc.).
  • Support in developing and validating key assumptions that influence planning of Gross and Net Revenue.
  • Partner with the Patient support program to analyse data, identify trends, and develop key insights to support the commercial organization in making effective decisions.
  • Partner with Global Finance and Business Operations to establish effective reporting via Global tools such as Power BI and Tableau.
  • Partner with Accounting and Market Access to establish strong governance and oversight on Rebates and other Gross-to-net items.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Skills and Competencies
  • Trusted business partner: possesses technical expertise, communication skills and good judgment to provide stakeholders with an objective and independent point of view on broader business matters.
  • Leadership and management: demonstrated track record of being part of a high performing finance team; leads by example, collaborative, hands-on, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
  • Behaviour & culture: strong learning agility with ability to tackle complex strategic challenges and adapt to new ideas, technologies and approaches; demonstrate emotional intelligence and self-awareness.
  • Advanced analytical abilities with a track record in financial modelling, revenue modelling, data mining and generating insights.
  • Proven ability to establish strong governance and processes around financial transactions.
  • Excellent IT knowledge including Microsoft Office; experience with Power BI, Tableau; SAP will be considered a huge asset.
Education, Experience and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting.
