Job description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of our team, your duties will include, but are not limited to :

  • Coordinate and perform on site window, guard rail systems and membrane testing for new construction and existing buildings;
  • Review and stay up to date with testing standards and procedures;
  • Provide assistance to the team in preparation of test reports;
  • Maintain records of testing equipment inventory, coordinate scheduled maintenance and calibration as required;
  • Report daily update on the ongoing testing schedule for all projects;
  • Gather, analyze and report meaningful performance data for various investigations;
  • Drive to various site locations with own or company vehicle;
  • Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Assist the concrete lab with reporting or supplemental site testing and reviews as may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Completion of post-secondary education in related field - Building / Construction Technology, or a construction-related discipline;
  • Experience with field or lab testing of window and railing systems would be considered an asset;
  • Health & Safety training requirements in construction projects would be considered an asset;
  • Strong verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills;
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance is required as the position requires field work;
  • Must be able to lift / move heavy equipment;
  • Ability to work independently without supervision.
