Reporting to the Road Service Foreman, the Road Service Technician will be responsible for servicing various clients. This person will be the main contact in the area for repairs and maintenance of their Merlo telescopic equipment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Employ diagnostic methodologies to determine repairs required over the telephone and on site.
  • Explain diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
  • Efficiently plan and manage repairs and scheduled maintenance.
  • Complete the various service documents clearly within the prescribed time.
  • Order parts needed to repair and maintain equipment.
  • Follow procedures for Warranty work and parts crediting.
  • Promote Manulift values to existing and potential clients.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience And Desired Skills
  • Diploma in mechanics (heavy equipment).
  • 5 – 10 years of experience as a heavy-duty or construction equipment mechanic.
  • 3 years of experience as a road technician.
  • Advanced knowledge in hydraulics, electrical and electronic.
  • Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
  • Good work ethic, meticulous, motivated and independent.
  • Solid aptitude in diagnostic.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
