Wärtsilä Parts and Field Service is now looking for an enthusiastic Field Service Resource Planner to join our skilled team in the USA or Canada.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • As a Field Service Resource Planner, you will be responsible for allocating resources as required in Field Work orders in the AMER Region, Marine Business in accordance with the strategy, action plan and business needs.
  • Ensure that all resource requests are correctly prioritized.
  • Receive requests via the joint resource area e-mail group and allocate resources as per the profile analysis required in Fieldwork orders through the Planning Board to ensure the availability of field staff.
  • Support Resource Coordinators in managing field staff's training, vacation, time off, and leave requirements through the planning framework to maintain uniform use of field staff, ensuring the best use and availability of the Field Service personnel encompassing coordination of visas, medicals, travel, etc.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personal details as appropriate
  • Promote effective communication with other departments (CAC, CM, Sales, etc.) to, according to needs and requirements, ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
  • Assist the Team Leader with regular feedback from executed jobs.
  • Monitor and control the monthly process KPIs in Resources, seeking to provide information to those responsible for identifying potential failures and improvements through action plans.
  • Support Resource Coordinators in updating resource area documentation in the local digital archive to ensure document quality and standardization.
  • Prepare and send reports to Area Managers with monthly results obtained by analysing the KPIs monitored over the period.
  • To comply with the company's Quality, Health & Safety and Equal Opportunities policies.
Main Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or technical university or 5–10 years of equivalent work experience in a technical service-minded organization is desired.
  • Service management skills and / or experience with coordinating service teams is preferred.
  • Experience within a Mechanical / Maritime environment organization with an international scope is seen as an advantage.
  • Understanding of the Field Service process
  • English language proficiency (Spanish and / or Portuguese considered as plus)
  • Be proficient with process tools such as SalesForce (CRM), Qlikview and FS Mobility

The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education, individual skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration of internal equity.
