Field Operator (Long Haul Chemical Transport)

Partner with the best

As a Chemical Transport Field Operator, you will be responsible for transporting hazardous production chemicals throughout Southwestern Manitoba while ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely operating and maintaining assigned truck in compliance with Baker Hughes, customer, and government regulations
  • Loading and unloading hazardous chemicals following all safety protocols
  • Driving courteously and obeying all traffic laws and oil company regulations
  • Recording delivery information accurately and complete required paperwork
  • Operating forklifts and other equipment as needed
  • Communicating effectively with managers, plant staff, and office personnel for scheduling and route planning
  • Assisting with warehouse and yard duties as required
Qualifications & Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with 5+ years of driving experience
  • Clean driving record
  • Previous chemical delivery experience preferred
  • Completion of pre and post trip inspections
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada dangerous goods regulations and load securement requirements
  • Basic operating skills in Computer, Laptop & smart phones.
  • Strong personal integrity, responsibility, and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs daily
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Willingness to be on call as needed
  • Maintain a clean truck and work area
Desired Characteristics
  • Off‑road driving experience
  • Previous oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Familiarity with chemical safety, pumps, valves, and liquid handling equipment preferred
  • Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship
