Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections of electrical meter installations performed by unionized installers to assess compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement audit plans to evaluate installation quality and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, compliance gaps, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project managers, installers, and other stakeholders to address compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, standards, and best practices related to electrical installations and metering technologies.
  • Participate in regular training and development opportunities to enhance auditing skills and knowledge of compliance requirements.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree/college degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in auditing, quality assurance, or related roles within the electrical or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency in developing audit plans, conducting inspections, and preparing clear, concise reports.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Relevant certifications such as Journeyperson 309A, Journeyperson Meter Technician, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Energy Auditor etc. are a plus.
  • A valid Class ‘G’ Ontario Driver’s License, driver’s insurance and an excellent driving record.
  • Knowledge of and experience with computer software such as Microsoft Office and meter specific software.
  • First Aid and CPR certificates and knowledge of EUSA and the OHSA are assets.
