Job description

ELITS Canada Inc is a subsidiary of Accelerate at Iver. Our parent company Iver has 1,700 employees today and is growing and now we are looking for new employees who want to join our journey. As part of Accelerate at Iver, you are at the absolute forefront of technology and work on exciting digitization and transformation projects with market-leading customers. We are passionate about realizing digital opportunities in the cloud. Together with our customers, we close the gap between aspiration and successful implementation. Communication is an essential part of the work since we work closely with our customers. As an employee at ELITS you will become a part of a great team that always responds to the customer with humility, and at the same time is very proud of what we deliver.

ELITS is now looking for a Feature Tester in our operations in Mississauga.

About the Role

As a Feature Tester, you will analyze requirements and specifications to design and document test cases, execute and record test results, document and track defects, analyze outcomes, and produce feature test reports. This role requires you to apply effective test analysis, test design, and test result analysis methods to achieve the project’s testing objectives efficiently. Your goal is to achieve maximum test coverage with a minimum set of test cases. Testing may be conducted in laboratory, customer, or field environments.

Responsibilities
  • Testing Prerequisites: After analyzing requirements and specifications, provide a comprehensive list of required testing tools, laboratory equipment, and materials needed to fully verify each assigned feature’s functionality.
  • Test Case Design: Create detailed test cases aimed at thoroughly verifying each assigned feature’s functionality.
  • Test Case Execution: Execute test cases, manually or using automated scripts, to verify application behavior as defined in your test plans.
  • Capturing Test Results: Document the outcome of each test step, noting successes and failures. If a step fails, confirm that the failure is due to the application not meeting specifications and that the issue can be reliably reproduced before recording it as a defect.
  • Daily Test Report: Prepare and send a daily test report to the test lead, including the number of test cases executed, passed, failed, and any issues encountered.
  • Defect Documentation and Follow-Up: Record any software defects identified during testing. Once confident a defect is due to unmet requirements, log the issue as a Customer Service Request (CSR) or Trouble Report (TR), and follow up until it is resolved. Communicate new defects to the team lead and project stakeholders.
  • Feature Test Report: After completing all assigned tests, assess whether the testing scope and performance expectations have been met, and produce a detailed feature test report.
  • Troubleshooting: Serve as the first responder for issues related to assigned functionality, diagnosing whether problems are due to functionality or configuration.
  • Laboratory Configuration: Implement all necessary configuration settings related to the assigned feature. Coordinate with project contacts for third‑party system or vendor‑related configuration.
Technical Skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows (version 10 or 11) for tool setup and configuration.
  • Proficiency with wireless test tools such as Test Mobile System (TEMS) Investigation, protocol analyzers, and similar platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Unix, Linux, Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Internet Protocol (IP) connectivity, including login and File Transfer Protocol (FTP) procedures.
  • Experience with Operations Support Systems (OSS) or a Network Manager System, Service Management Orchestrator (SMO), and tools like Network Explorer and Alarm Viewer.
  • Advanced skills in Mobile Shell (Moshell) scripting are considered an asset.
  • General knowledge of telecommunications technologies, including Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM), Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (UTRAN), and Evolved Universal Terrestrial Radio Access Network (e-UTRAN).
  • Diagnostic and troubleshooting experience, including tracing and node recovery procedures (remote and local, node scratch).
  • Strong knowledge of advanced call testing, both in laboratory and field settings.
  • Familiarity with Communication Processing Platform (CPP) nodes, CORE network functions such as Mobility Management Entity (MME), Serving GPRS Support Node (SGSN), Home Subscriber Server (HSS), Media Gateway (MGW), Serving Gateway (SGW), Packet Data Network Gateway (PGW), Mobile Switching Centre (MSC), and knowledge of transport network fundamentals.
Qualities
  • Thrives in collaborative, cross‑functional teams and communicates with clarity and confidence.
  • Balances technical depth with practical, solution‑driven problem solving.
  • Approaches challenges with positivity, accountability, and resilience.
  • Manages multiple priorities while staying organized and focused.
  • Brings fresh ideas to enhance products, processes, and team collaboration.
  • Contributes to a culture of trust, learning, and continuous improvement.
