About FACE

FACE (Family and Child Education) helps Southern New Brunswick families with children ages 0-8 bridge developmental gaps during early childhood. As a non-profit organization, our programs, including a unique in-home model, create a supportive, engaging, and educational environment for parents and caregivers to become empowered advocates and for children to achieve their full potential.

Job Overview

As a Family Educator with FACE, you will work closely with caregivers and children, primarily in their own homes, to support their development needs through one-on-one interactions. This role is essential in nurturing and engaging families, providing them with the care, respect, safety, and trust needed for positive change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work directly with families to identify their needs and goals.
  • Develop and implement goals tailored to individual children and their families.
  • Offer guidance and support on parenting, child development, and family dynamics.
  • Collaborate with community organizations and services to connect families with additional resources.
  • Maintain detailed records of client interactions and progress.
  • Organize and lead group sessions on various topics, including parenting, child development, and family health.
  • Participate in community events and outreach programs to engage with families.
  • Provide ongoing support to families, including follow-ups and referrals as needed.
  • Primarily work regular daytime hours, with flexibility for occasional evening or weekend shifts as required to support families.
Qualifications
  • Education: Diploma or degree in Early Childhood, Educational Assistant, Human Service Counsellor, Social Work, Education, Child Development, or other related field.
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience working with families and young children, or in a community support role.
  • Strong understanding of family dynamics, child development, and community resources.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
