Starting Rate of Pay: $18.77/hr CAD. As a Captain Server with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience.

Job Description: Captain Server. As a Captain Server with Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience.

Responsibilities
  • Take an active role with the training and development of new and existing staff
  • Assist management team to develop action plans to improve outlet performance
  • Have full knowledge of all menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods
  • Have full knowledge of beverage lists and promotions
  • Responsible for preparing and serving cocktails and other beverages on a daily basis
  • Assist and lead the function team in setting up and tearing down function spaces
  • Bus and re-set tables
  • Perform opening, cleaning and closing duties
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 years serving experience required (must include at least 6 months a la carte service)
  • Previous leadership experience required
  • Valid Alberta driver’s license required
  • Excellent knowledge of wine, cocktails and beer required
  • Pro Serve certification required
  • Banquets experience preferred
  • Micros POS experience an asset

  • Visa Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization.
