Job description

The Facilities Maintenance Student is responsible for supporting the planning and administration of facility related tasks. This role involves, providing support for ongoing projects, and assisting in data entry tasks and participation in energy management, sustainability initiatives and emergency preparedness. The ideal candidate will have a proactive attitude, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and contribute to our facilities management team.

All of our student roles will require full time enrollment in a related post-secondary program in good academic standing, excellent communication, analytic and organizational skills, and a great attitude with an eagerness to learn.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a relevant or related field at a college or university.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Detail oriented with strong customer focus orientation, sense of urgency, and quality of work.
  • Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Experience using MS Office tools and Enterprise Systems/Software.
  • Knowledge and understanding of building systems and repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, boiler systems, etc.) considered an asset.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in project coordination by assisting in planning, organizing, and supporting ongoing maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Perform data entry tasks by collecting information from the field and accurately entering it into E1 for record-keeping purposes.
  • Participate in Energy Management and Sustainability initiatives.
  • Participate in Emergency Preparedness
