A leading shipbuilding company in Halifax seeks a Facilities Capital Planner to play a central role in planning and executing infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will develop a 5-year capital program and collaborate with various stakeholders to meet operational needs. Requirements include an Engineering Technology Diploma or Degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, and strong project management skills. This is a full-time, in-office position.

Irving Shipbuilding is entering an exciting period of major infrastructure renewal and transformation - and we're looking for a Facilities Capital Planner who wants to play a central role in these initiatives. In this role, you will help design the next generation of shipyard facilities, guide long‑term capital planning, and directly influence programs that enable our production teams to deliver Canada’s ships safely, efficiently, and sustainably. Reporting to the Manager, Facilities Capital, you’ll lead the development and continuous refinement of our 5‑year sustaining capital program. You’ll be hands‑on in planning, scoping, and shaping high‑impact infrastructure projects, while partnering with stakeholders across the business to make sure our facilities evolve to meet strategic priorities.
Due to the nature of work Irving Shipbuilding does, all successful applicants must meet requirements for the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Canadian Government Security clearance, and U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
Please note this position requires a full‑time, in‑office presence.
