Overview

Job Title: Fabrication Manager

Job Description: The Fabrication Manager is responsible for leading all daily operations within the fabrication and welding department. This role ensures the team adheres to the highest standards of quality and safety, meets production targets, and delivers projects on time. The manager will manage workflow, optimize resources, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee daily operations within the fabrication and welding department.
  • Ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Meet production targets and deliver projects on time.
  • Manage workflow and optimize resources.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational excellence.
Essential Skills
  • 5+ years in high-volume fabrication or manufacturing.
  • 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong management skills.
  • Familiarity with OH&S standards.
  • Experience with LEM (Labour, Equipment, Materials) reporting/scheduling tools.
  • Strong experience in Continuous Improvement (CI) methodologies.
  • Mechanically inclined.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Welding or pipefitting tickets are an asset but not required.
  • Deep technical expertise in welding as a Subject Matter Expert (welder, welding technologist, or similar).
