Experienced Administrative Assistant – 16-Month Maternity Leave Contract (Calgary, AB)

$32.00/hr

Full-Time – In Person

January 2026 – April 2027

Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM

Hire Standard is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant for our client to provide high-level support to senior leadership during a maternity leave term (January 2025 – April 2026). This is an on-site position in Calgary, ideal for someone organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex calendars and coordinate meetings across multiple time zones.
  • Schedule and manage domestic/international travel (Concur highly preferred).
  • Handle confidential communications and documents with discretion.
  • Prepare and edit reports, presentations, and correspondence with attention to detail.
  • Create and process purchase orders, manage expense reports, and assist with budgeting.
  • Coordinate projects, events, and onboarding/training activities for new team members.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient workflows.
  • Provide onsite support at select events (5–10% travel required).
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of administrative experience supporting senior leaders.
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills; Power BI a plus.
  • Experience with SAP, Ariba, and Concur Travel is highly preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Valid passport and ability to travel internationally occasionally.
  • High school diploma required, post‑secondary education or administrative certificate an asset.
