A community service organization in Elliot Lake seeks an Executive Director to develop and manage a committed service team for their women's shelter. The role involves enhancing community and funding relations while establishing connections with gender-based violence agencies. Candidates should have post-secondary education in relevant fields and experience in service management and community engagement. A deep understanding of trauma-informed care and gender-based violence is essential for this position.
The Executive Director is responsible for developing and providing visionary leadership to a committed service team as well as enhancing community and funding relations through the planning and management of the women’s shelter. The position is responsible for establishing and maintaining connections with other VAW agencies and other Provincial initiatives while continuing to lead the growth and expansion of Elliot Lake Women’s Group.
Ideally the successful candidate has post‑secondary education in social work, non‑profit management, community programming, or related.
