Overview

What is the opportunity?

An exciting opportunity to join our team as an Executive Assistant in the Corporate Client Group (CCG) team. The CCG team is dedicated to delivering a complete range of complex financial solutions and core banking services to mid-market Canadian head-quartered companies. The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Managing Director ("MD") and their team members for operations and strategic initiatives. The purpose of this role is to help support the team to maximize their time against top priorities for CCG and help drive business results.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the MD (and team) calendar demand with minimal input and direction while coordinating with key partners as required
  • Manage team’s travel arrangements for efficiency and cost effectiveness
  • Prepare team expense reports ensuring accuracy and adherence to policies, and assist with the overall budget and identifying opportunities for department cost savings
  • Provide support for meetings, including internal and client events and ensure all required information for meetings is assembled in advance, including agendas, pre-reads and other materials
  • Support for HR activities, including onboarding new hires, monitoring RBC Learning requirements (Code of Conduct, AML etc)
  • Lead selective operational initiatives for CCG Operations
  • Department administration including, managing vacation schedules, encouraging use of Workspace Management, and other duties as assigned
  • Manage incoming correspondence, risk and compliance requirements, and overall office operations
  • Provide administrative support at a department level, supporting the management team
Qualifications

Must Have

  • Minimum 3+ years professional experience in a related role
  • Strong attention to detail with proven organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrates initiative, resourcefulness and problem-solving abilities
  • High level of computer proficiency with Microsoft Office and other related software
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, clients, and external partners
  • Resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be effective working independently
  • Exceptional judgement and discretion

Nice to Have

  • Experience with HRIS (e.g. Workday), Concur
  • Financial services experience
