Qualifications

Evaluation Services - Project Engineer

Intertek is searching for a Project Engineer to join our Evaluation Services team in our Coquitlam, BC office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the Code Compliance field! The Project Engineer is responsible for managing certification projects.

What you'll do:
  • Conduct comprehensive research on North American building codes and applicable product standards.
  • Develop detailed test plans and evaluation protocols based on research findings.
  • Prepare technical and certification documentation derived from test results and evaluations.
  • Perform audits and product sampling at client manufacturing facilities.
  • Collaborate closely with sales, laboratory, and technical teams to support seamless project execution.
  • Manage assigned projects from initiation to completion, ensuring quality, accuracy, and timely delivery with continuous communication with clients.
  • Participate actively in industry committees, standards development activities, and technical association meetings.
What it takes to be in this role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Science (preferably Materials or Civil Engineering).
  • Preferred previous experience in the role but not a must.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Be able to travel within Canada and USA.
