Job summary

A reputable multi-trade contractor in Canada is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their team. You will review construction documents, complete accurate material and labour takeoffs, and identify cost-saving opportunities. The ideal candidate will have a Journeyperson Certificate, at least 3 years of estimating experience, and excellent organizational skills. This position offers a competitive salary ranging from CA$83,790 to CA$114,624, plus a commission program and full benefits to reward high performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years experience estimating commercial service, maintenance, or retrofit projects.
• Experience with BMS integration is an asset.
• Willingness to visit job sites.

Pay: CA$98,790 to CA$147,258 per year, with total compensation potential over $150,000

The Opportunity

We’re growing fast and looking for experienced Estimators with strong analytical skills and hands on experience in Electrical, HVAC/R, or Plumbing to join our expanding team.

What You’ll Do

• Review construction documents and collaborate with project managers, sales, and field teams to define project scopes
• Complete accurate material and labour takeoffs using Bluebeam and internal tools
• Identify value engineering and cost saving opportunities
• Present and defend estimates confidently to internal teams or clients
• Maintain and update supplier pricing for improved accuracy and speed
• Participate in daily training and development sessions to sharpen communication, technical, and negotiation skills

What You Bring

• Journeyperson Certificate in Electrical, HVAC/R, Plumbing, or Sheet Metal
• Minimum of 3 years experience estimating commercial service, maintenance, or retrofit projects
• Strong ability to read drawings and perform takeoffs (Bluebeam or Excel proficiency)
• Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills
• Self motivated and comfortable working in a fast paced, performance driven environment
• Experience with BMS integration is an asset

Compensation, Perks, And Benefits

• Base Salary: $83,790 to $114,624
• Commission Program: $15,000 to $30,000 expected annually (uncapped)
• Additional Incentive Program: Up to 10 percent of your base salary
• Referral Bonus: Earn up to $1,000 for successful hires you refer
