Trickle Creek Golf Resort, a division of Resorts of the Canadian Rockies, is nestled in the mountainside of beautiful Kimberley, B.C. We are looking for an energetic and passionate Equipment Technician to join our team.
Role Summary
As the Equipment Technician, you are responsible to maintain and repair all turf maintenance equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Reporting directly to the Superintendent, this role is essential in supporting the grounds crew in maintaining a high-quality golf course experience - contributing to the overall goal of providing our guests with the best vacation and recreation experience possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues on all turf equipment, including mowers, tractors, utility vehicles, and small engines
- Repair and maintain the rental fleet, and pro shop and food & beverage vehicles
- Perform routine preventative maintenance (oil changes, blade sharpening, tire maintenance, etc.) on all golf course machinery
- Provide insight into fleet replacement schedule
- Research vendors and purchase parts and supplies as needed, adhering to the approved budget
- Maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and parts inventory
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently in compliance with manufacturer specifications
- Train staff on basic equipment operation and care when needed
- Maintain a clean and organized maintenance facility
- Monitor and maintain fuel, oil, and lubrication supplies
- Safe operation of equipment as required
- Additional duties as requested by management
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in equipment repair, preferably in a golf course or landscaping setting
- Possess post-secondary education in related area(s)
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a high level of attention to detail
- Can problem solve and complete required tasks independently
- Basic computer skills required
- First Aid certification an asset

- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, and squat for extended periods
