Job summary

A leading Canadian energy company is seeking an experienced Environmental Technologist to support regulatory compliance through field monitoring and data management. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the Mining or Oil & Gas industry and a diploma or degree in applied science or related fields. This role involves conducting various environmental monitoring activities in a camp-based environment in Alberta, on a 7 days on / 7 days off rotation, promoting both sustainability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in Mining, Oil & Gas, or similar industrial environment.
  • Eligible for membership with ASET or equivalent.
  • Proficient in managing conflicting priorities and timelines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct surface/groundwater, soil, and reclamation monitoring.
  • Perform QA/QC of field forms and compile data.
  • Follow monitoring plans aligned with regulatory approvals.
  • Adhere to field safety plans and hazard controls.
