Job summary

A local government authority in Central Ontario is looking for an Environmental Services Student to assist with the maintenance and operations of water and wastewater systems. The role involves updating engineering drawings, analyzing inspection reports, and supporting project management tasks. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a relevant environmental discipline, possess a valid Class G2 Driver’s License, and have expertise in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. This position offers an hourly wage of $19.36 and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week for approximately 4 months.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class G2 Driver’s License.
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Experience in general office equipment operation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with engineering drawings and projects.
  • Update process flow diagrams for treatment facilities.
  • Analyze sewer inspection reports and sample results.
  • Maintain project files and documentation.
  • Support internal communication between departments.
