Environmental Coordinator – Windsor, Ontario

About the Role

We’re seeking an Environmental Coordinator to serve as the primary environmental contact for our grain and oilseed processing facility in Windsor, as well as two country grain elevators. This role is key to implementing ADM’s environmental programs and ensuring compliance with all corporate, provincial, and federal requirements.

The Environmental Coordinator will establish and enhance environmental performance through a strong continuous improvement culture. This position provides technical and managerial support to achieve ADM’s environmental goals, maintain regulatory compliance, and strengthen our environmental management system.

What You’ll Do
  • Serve as the primary environmental contact for the facility and two country grain elevators
  • Implement standardized ADM environmental programs and systems to meet internal and external requirements
  • Build and maintain a sustainable culture of continuous environmental improvement
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report environmental performance, recommending corrective or preventive actions
  • Support permitting, approvals, root cause analysis, negotiating with authorities, and implementing ADM standards
  • Participate in trade associations and government working groups
  • Understand and implement new or upcoming legislation and regulations
  • Participate in compliance audits, assessments, and due diligence activities
  • Provide training, coaching, and development for colleagues across the facility
  • Maintain strong communication with management on environmental performance and compliance activities
  • Demonstrate forward thinking, open-mindedness, and an energetic approach to problem-solving
  • Perform duties under pressure with a high degree of motivation and self-direction
  • Perform other environmental duties as assigned

  • Ability to work in varied environmental conditions including indoors/outdoors, hot/cold temperatures, standing, kneeling, climbing, and working in confined spaces
  • Proficiency in English
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Environmental Management, or a related field preferred
